BRIDAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
POLICIES
These terms and conditions apply to all makeup services provided by
Jemma Millar Makeup Artist. ABN: 32 716 180 018
By submitting the deposit, you acknowledge and agree that you are entering into a contract governed by the terms and conditions outlined below.

BOOKINGS
Please be aware that the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Once the booking is confirmed and the deposit is submitted, any alterations or cancellations regarding the starting time or size of the bridal party will result in additional charges. In cases where the booking is downsized after confirmation, the original quoted price will still be applicable.

Date inquiries and trials do not guarantee your wedding day booking. Only a completed deposit confirms the date.

Bridal bookings are accepted up to 12 months in advance. Due to high demand for 2025 and 2026, early booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Bridal services are available for a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 9 people (maximum of 14 with an assistant on the day)

Travel services are available for bridal parties of six or more people only. If your party is smaller, you will still be charged for the minimum of six services. To meet this requirement, you may include additional family members or wedding guests to fill these spots.

Pricing is set at a flat rate, with no group discounts available.

Bookings are confirmed only when the deposit is received, and a confirmation email is sent.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

A 50% non-refundable deposit of the total quoted price is required via bank transfer within 14 days of receiving a quote to secure your booking.

If the deposit is not received within 14 days, the date will be released and may be booked by another client.

The remaining balance must be paid in full via bank transfer no later than 14 days before the wedding day.

Once the deposit is transferred, proof of payment must be emailed to jemma.millar@hotmail.com
TRIALS
-
Trials do not secure your wedding date. The only way to lock in your date is by paying the deposit.

Trial makeup sessions are conducted at the Jemma Millar Makeup Artist Studio in Netley, 5037.

Trials are available Tuesday to Friday only. Limited after-hours appointments may be available if arranged in advance. No Saturday trials are offered due to high weekend demand.

Trial makeup appointments are to be booked online at www.jemmamillarmakeupartist.com via the online booking system.

The cost of a trial is separate from your wedding day booking and is not included in wedding invoices.

If you decide not to go ahead with your wedding day booking after a trial, the trial fee remains non-refundable.
TRAVEL & ADDITIONAL FEES

Travel services are available only for bridal parties of 6+ people.
-
Travel is charged at $150 per 20km. Any distances exceeding 40km will incur additional charges for both directions.

Additional parking fees may apply for locations in CBD, Glenelg, or high-fee parking areas.

Sundays & Public Holidays incur an additional $30 per person due to increased demand and operating costs.
-
Early morning bookings requiring a start time before 7.00 AM will incur an additional fee of $100 per hour prior to 7.00AM.

An outside-of-trading-hours fee is applicable for weddings scheduled before 7.00AM and after 2.00PM.

For weddings with more than 7+ individuals, the option to request a makeup assistant is available at an additional cost. This ensures more efficient timing on the day.

If the booked location has difficult parking or limited access, the client must ensure that a suitable parking space is available near the entrance. Easy access and even footings are required to safely transport heavy makeup kits and equipment.

If the location requires flights of stairs, the client must provide an extra pair of hands to assist with carrying equipment to abide by Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards and prevent injury. If no assistance is available, additional setup time may be required.

TIMING & SCHEDULE POLICY

The provided run sheet serves as a rough timeline for the day and may be subject to slight adjustments. However, all bridal party members must be ready and available when it is their turn for makeup.

I do not operate on an hourly basis; services are charged per person. If we are running ahead of schedule, I will continue working without waiting around for absent individuals.

I will not wait for late arrivals or those who are not present. If someone is unavailable when their turn comes, I will proceed to the next person. If no one is available, their service will be forfeited without a refund.

As we may run ahead of schedule on the day, it is highly recommended that all bridal party members be on location and fully ready for services to start at least 1 hour before their allocated time.

It is the bride’s responsibility to ensure all members of the bridal party are aware of their allocated time slot, on location and are ready when required.
CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING
If for any reason you need to cancel your bridal party booking, please advise me & email me as soon as possible to successfully cancel your booking. jemma.millar@hotmail.com
Please keep in mind your 50% deposit is NON-refundable under any circumstances.
Please also note that deposits are NOT transferrable to any future bookings if one wishes to cancel an appointment.

If a cancellation or reschedule occurs 1 year in advance, a rebooking fee of 25% is necessary to secure a new date, should you decide to rebook your wedding.

Cancellations between 12 months and 30 days prior to the wedding will result in a forfeiture of the deposit. In case you wish to rebook, the full 50% deposit will need to be repaid, as the dates have been reserved.

For cancellations made within 30 days of the booking, the full 100% amount will be required to cover the loss of income.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including changes in personal circumstances, cancellations by the client, or dissatisfaction with a trial outcome.
Please note that these terms and conditions may only be modified under exceptional circumstances, such as if Jemma Millar Makeup Artist is compelled to close due to a state lockdown or if the State Government mandates a cessation of all beauty industry operations.
COVID-19/SICKNESS

Contagious conditions
-
Regrettably, in the event that any member of your bridal party presents a cold sore, I am unable to provide makeup services under any circumstances due to the highly contagious nature of the condition. Cold sores (HSV) remain actively contagious for a duration of up to 3 weeks, spanning the blister stage, scabbed stage, and even several days following apparent healing.

Should you, the bride, experience a cold sore, it will be necessary for you to acquire a specific list of essential products and brushes (not sourced from my professional kit) to enable the completion of your bridal makeup application.

Sickness
-
In the event that you or any member of your bridal party are unwell, displaying symptoms such as coughing, a runny nose, or any cold/flu-like indications, kindly inform me in advance. This will allow me to make necessary arrangements, including bringing a mask to ensure my own protection. Regrettably,If any non-bride member of the bridal party is visibly unwell, their makeup appointment will be canceled without refund. Services may be refused at the artist’s discretion for hygiene and safety reasons. This approach is rooted in considerations of hygiene and fairness, both to myself and to prospective clients, as I work in close proximity during the makeup application process. Your cooperation, respect, and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.

If the artist falls ill and is unable to attend the booking, every effort will be made to arrange a replacement artist and the booking will be refunded in full.
HEALTH & HYGIENE
It is advised to notify myself, prior to any scheduled trials or your wedding day, of any allergies, skin conditions or of any previous sensitivities you may have had in the past. This is to guarantee that any reactions are prevented.
Ensure to mention any appropriate contagious sicknesses, infections or skin conditions. Such as cold or flu symptoms, conjunctivitis, cold sores, rashes, warts, MRSA, shingles or herpes.
Please note that makeup services can not and will not be performed under any circumstances with contagious conditions.
As it is the clients responsibility to warn me about any sensitivities, illnesses, skin conditions or allergies, I will not fall responsible for any reactions that in the unlikely event may possibly occur.
In no event will Jemma Millar Makeup Artist have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised for example: sensitive skin, sensitive eyes, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea etc.

By securing a booking with Jemma Millar Makeup Artist, you acknowledge and agree to these non-negotiable terms and conditions. These policies are put in place to protect both the client and the business while ensuring a professional and smooth experience.
